Punta Cana
This Dominican Republic paradise is ranked in almost every travel magazine and blog as one of the best destinations anytime of the year, but spring break takes this carribbean hot spot to a whole new level. It’s known for miles of white sand beaches and clear, turquoise waters. Snorkeling, catamaran cruises, swimming in cenotes (natural underground limestone pools), all terrain vehicles and parties featuring Dominican food and music are just some of the activities you can enjoy. With more than 80 all-inclusive resorts to choose from, you can find incredible deals for the whole family. In fact, many resorts are advertising that kids and teens stay for free.
Knoxville
A flight to Knoxville puts you in the center of one of the most beautiful landscapes in the country. And it offers something to please just about anyone in the family. Most people don’t realize that The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is ranked as the #1 most-visited U.S National Park with 13 million visitors annually. With more than 800 miles of trails it’s an obvious pick for nature lovers, but there is so much more to this region. Pigeon Forge offers ultimate southern charm with log cabins and seasonal festivals, and you can’t get more wholesome than a trip to Dollywood. The popular theme park is offering new rides and shows this year, including celebrating our country’s 250th birthday.

Las Vegas
Yes, people may call it “Sin City” because of it’s now ancient history revolving around nightlife and gambling, but Vegas has become a very popular family getaway. You have affordable attraction style themed hotels, huge pools with lazy rivers, and incredible acrobatic shows from Cirque de Soleil which are very kid friendly and will impress young and old alike. But probably the best part, you’ll be a car drive away from some of nature’s most breathtaking wonders. The Grand Canyon is just 4 hours away. You’ll want to give yourself plenty of time to explore the Hoover Dam… another marvel. People describe Red Rock Canyon’s sandstone cliffs as “jaw-droppingly” beautiful, and Valley of Fire State Park is an Instagram dream.
Plattsburgh/Montreal
This is an incredible combination for any family… spring skiing with excellent snow and warmer conditions, and a city that makes you feel like you are in Europe. You can do both with one affordable direct flight and a couple of fairly short (and beautiful) drives. Head south to Killington, Vermont, consistently ranked as the best ski mountain in the East often staying open into May. But we count as many as 30 ski resorts in the vicinity as close as 15 minutes away from the airport. Head north to the Montreal, ranking in the top 5 cities in the world! Foodies will rejoice as it is the culinary capitol of Canada. Explore the ancient French cobblestone streets of Rue Saint-Paul, the oldest street in the city while snow flakes fall. Make sure you visit Old Port, Bonsecours Market and you can’t miss Notre-Dame Basilica, a stunning Gothic Revival church.

Nashville
If you had to pick an “up and comer” for spring break destinations it would be Nashville. There are so many places to listen to live music, you couldn’t visit them all in a year, much less a week, but country lovers… give it your best shot! And for the kids… zoos, adventure tree-top parks, go carts, parks with playgrounds and just good country fun. Not to mention, it’s pretty affordable. You can get into many attractions for under $20 and there are free live performances everywhere, especially on the Honky Tonk Highway on Lower Broadway.
