About Sanford Airport Authority
The Sanford Airport Authority (SAA) is made up of nine members who are appointed by the Sanford City Commission. The SAA elects its own chairman, vice chairman, and treasurer. Meanwhile, the airport is operated by the President/CEO—who is appointed by the SAA—and a staff of more than 100 full-time employees.
