The East Coast has New York City, the West Coast has Los Angeles, and while the South has Orlando, there is another booming city starting to create a buzz and its Nashville, Tennessee. It may be known as the “Music City”, but Nashville has more to offer than just a tune.  The charming city is more than just a country music hotspot, its like a small town trapped in a big city. With its flourishing neighborhoods, countless restaurants, and live music venues, the Music City should be at the top of every traveler’s “must visit” list.

The way we see it, there are 5 simple things that make Nashville an ideal destination. The city won over our hearts and we are sure it will have the same impact on yours.

1. The Music City

Ok, this may be an obvious one, but Nashville’s rich musical history is a huge draw to the city. The Country Music Hall of Fame, the Grand Ole Opry, The Johnny Cash Museum, and RCA Studio B– where Elvis Presley recorded over 250 songs, all call Nashville home.

2. The Bar Scene

There’s an old saying that Nashville is a music town with a drinking problem. While there’s sound 24/7 in this city, the best of it happens at night in bars. Your visit to Nashville is not complete without dancing the night away at a Honkytonk- a no cover-charge bar, but you must tip the band when the hat is passed.

3. Food Selection

Tourist will be pleasantly surprised to learn that Nashville is foodie friendly. If you’re in the mood for a sweet treat, there’s a local bakery to fulfill your sweet tooth. Craving some southern comfort food? No problem. From barbeque to Nashville’s famous hot chicken, its impossible to stay hungry while in Nashville.

4. Sportsville

Home to four professional sports teams and several NCAA Division I programs, Nashville residents are as passionate about their home teams as they are their country music. Additionally, over 200,000 people traveled to Nashville for the 2019 NFL Draft.

5. Historic Venues

Many know of historic venues that place Nashville on the map such as the Ryman Auditorium and the Grand Ole Opry. These venues are known due to their significance in the history of music. However, Nashville is full of museums, historic homes, and even a full-size replica of Greece’s Parthenon!
