Progress on the Expansion

SFB is now Simpler, Faster, and Better than ever.

Our $65 million expansion and renovation project is nearly complete. Passengers will immediately see the difference when they pull up under an extended canopy or choose to use our new curbside check-in. When entering SFB travelers now enjoy a bigger and brighter ticketing hall.

History Restored

While waiting in line, they can take selfies in front of a real WWII Bomber. This PV-1 Ventura was one of the first planes to fly out of Naval Air Station Sanford in 1942 and it is now the largest aircraft in the world to be displayed in an airport terminal.

Growing with the Future

After check-in, passengers enter a new, more efficient, consolidated screening area. And if they’re lucky, their plane will be taking off from our new concourse. It’s a beautiful addition of 4 new gates to accommodate our growing airport.

When arriving at SFB, collecting baggage will be a breeze with the addition of 3 new baggage carousels.
